“Why would you go to the other side of the world to deliver a keynote presentation?”
You have no idea how many fellow Belgians have asked me this question. The funny thing is, I didn’t really have an answer.
You see, as a trainer and keynote speaker, I’m used to being in front of an audience; always speaking about what eople ask me to speak about: creativity, marketing, advertising, copywriting, etc…
But this time it was different. This time, the ‘briefing’ didn’t come from the outside, but from the inside. And for the very first time, I felt as if I had something to lose.
‘Totally Flawesome: 9,5 ways to be perfectly imperfect as a brand’ is an interactive keynote, masterclass and workshop that shows you how to turn your brand’s flaws into awesome strengths.
It’s my brainchild. My baby. But most importantly, it’s the one thing I really believe after 25 years as an advertising consultant. So why travel all the way to Chennai, India, to share it with the world for the very first?
To be honest, it was more of an instinctive decision, and until I got to the venue, I was still not sure I made the right one.
Somehow, Indian people can connect with my inner child simply by introducing me to theirs. And then suddenly it dawns on me: I never jumped out of my comfort zone in the first place.
My comfort zone was already here, waiting for me, with these kind, warm, helpful souls at PSA India who want to see me shine, do well and kick ass.
I should have known, but I do now.
What an absolute pleasure and privilege to share who I really am with you all.
Thank you for everything you’ve given me in those few days.
Let’s do that again, shall we?
